Shinkai Makoto Exhibition

The Shinkai Makoto Exhibition was held from Jan. 3 to Feb. 25 at Sapporo Art Park. This is the 15th year the exhibition has been held. Shinkai is a famous animated movie director in Japan. The general admission fee for adults was ￥1,200 and the admission fee for high school and college students was ￥800.
This exhibition mainly displayed valuable items from production. There were many story-boards, which is a collection of illustrated pictures before making a film. The pictures were displayed on the wall and an explanation about each work was written next to each picture. In addition, there were audio guides.
The voice on the audio guide was Japanese actor Kamiki Ryunosuse. He played the leading role of Your Name (Kimi No Na Wa) in 2016. Shinkai has made six films and produced his first animated movie the Voices of a Distant Star (Hoshi No Koe) in 2002. The story line of the movie portrays the romantic relationship between a boy and a girl. Shinkai made the film by himself and it received various awards.
There are a few Your Name hot-spots at the entrance of the exhibition venue for taking commemorative pictures with large posters as a backdrop. Besides Sapporo, the Shinkai Makoto Exhibition was also held in Shizuoka, Tokyo and Osaka. The Exhibition will also be held in Fukuoka, Ishikawa, Okinawa and Aichi this year.

新海誠展

新海誠展は、２０１８年１月３日から２月２５日まで札幌芸術の森で開催されました。今回が15年目の展示会開催となります。新海は日本で有名なアニメ映画監督です。一般料金は大人１２００円で、高校生や大学生は８００円でした。
この展示会は主に貴重な制作資料が展示されています。たくさんの絵コンテ(映画を作る前のイラストによるコマ割りが並べられたボード)がありました。それらは壁に飾られており、一枚一枚のイラスト画の横にそれぞれ説明が書かれています。加えて、音声ガイドがあります。声の主は日本人俳優の神木隆之介です。彼は２０１６年に公開された「君の名は」で主人公の声を演じました。新海は６つの映画を作り、２００２年に最初のアニメ映画「ほしのこえ」を制作しました。この映画は少年と少女の恋愛関係が描かれています。新海はこの映画を一人で作り、そしてこの作品で様々な賞を受賞しました。
展示会の入り口の近くに「君の名は」の人気スポットがいくつかあります。その場所では壁に大きなポスターが貼ってあり、それを背景にして記念写真を撮ります。札幌の他に、新海誠展は静岡・東京・大阪でも開催されました。福岡・石川・沖縄・愛知でも今年開催される予定です。
