Art Park’s Art Market

Every year there are a series of events at Sapporo Art Park called “Art Park’s Art Market.” At these events, many professional or amateur artists exhibit and sell their creations.
The number of artists and types of crafts continue to increase each year. In addition, since 2015 these events were turned in to a large outdoor market with over 100 artists setting up booths.
There are many different kinds of crafts for sale there. For example, woodworking, ceramics, handicrafts, designs, accessories and so on. This year the events are held on June 19, July 16 and 30, August 6 and 7, September 18, October 16, and November 3.
In case of rain, the dates are changed to the following Saturday or Sunday. All of these events are scheduled outdoors on holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but the final two days, October 16 and November 3, are held indoor.
The event on June 19 was cozier than expect and the mood was good and the many artists there were very kind. The artists greeted visitors warmly and they gave detailed explanations of their work.

札幌芸術の森では、毎年数回「札幌芸術の森アートマーケット（芸森アートマーケット）」と呼ばれるイベントが開催されています。たくさんのプロやアマチュアのアーティストたちが、作品の展示や販売を行います。出店するアーティストと作品の数は毎年増え続けていて、去年の2015年には出店数が100を超える大規模な野外イベントとなりました。展示・販売されている作品の種類も非常に多く、たとえば木工や陶芸、手芸、デザイン、アクセサリーなどがあります。
今年の開催については、6月19日と7月16・30日、8月6・7日、9月18日、10月16日、11月3日にスケジュールが組まれており、悪天候の場合は、次の土日どちらかに開催するそうです。開催日程は全で休日に当てられており、午前10時から午後4時までで、10月16日と11月3日は屋内、それ以外の日は屋外で開催されます。
6月19日のイベント会場に行ってみたところ、予想よりこぢんまりとした印象を受けましたが、その雰囲気はとてもよく、出店していたアーティストのみなさんもとても親切でした。みなさん挨拶したり、作品について詳しく説明したりなど、お客さんに暖かく接していました。
