Film Review: Justice League

In the film Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, Superman died when the villain Doomsday pierced his heart. After Superman's death, Batman realized the world was in danger. Batman thought that he couldn't save the world alone, so he decided to scout for four superhumans.

The name of the main villain in Justice League is Steppenwolf. He plans to conquer the world by collecting three powerful so-called “Mother Boxes.” When he collects all three Mother Boxes, he will obtain a powerful force. The heroes try their best to protect the world, but there are some obstacles.

This DC superhero film was released in 2017 by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film was directed by Zack Snyder. The screenwriters are Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon. The cast includes Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf. Many other celebrated actors appear in this film.

The film’s action and special effects were filmed with the frequent use of green screens and computer graphics. Many things, such as Batman’s cape and Steppenwolf himself, were often created using computer graphics. One of the characters, Cyborg, has a body made by computer graphics. The precision of the computer graphics used for him is remarkable. In the making of this film, animation supervisor Simeon Duncombe and visual effects supervisor Anders Langlands comment in detail on how the film was shot. You can understand a few things from their comments.

Firstly, the film was shot both in the studio and outside. In accordance with the storyboard, the film was carefully rehearsed and filmed. Director Zack Snyder gave detailed acting instructions to the actors, and they listened to his instructions seriously.

The film crew used a lot of special effects. For example, they created a large square in the studio. They placed broken cars and concrete wreckage there to represent battle scenes. Sometimes, to film a scene of Batman jumping from a high place, the crew would set up a platform so high that it almost reached the ceiling of the studio. 前作"バットマンvsスーパーマン"にて、スーパーマンは悪党ドゥームズデイに心臓を貫かれて死ぬ。彼が亡くなったあと、バットマンは世界に起きる危機を知る。彼は自分一人では世界を救えないと悟り、四人の超人をスカウトした。

本作の悪役はステッペンウルフである。彼は3つそろえると強力な力を手に入れることができるとされる「マザーボックス」を集め地球制服を企んでいる。ヒーロー達は世界を守ろうとするがある問題が...?

このDCスーパーヒーロー映画は2017年にワーナーブラザーズより公開された。本作品の監督はザック・スナイダーで、脚本はクリス・テリオとジョス・ウェドンだ。そしてキャストにはスーパーマン役にヘンリー・カヴィル、バットマン役にベン・アフレック、ワンダーウーマン役にガル・ガドット、ステッペンウルフ役にはキアラン・ハインズが出演している。この他にも多くの著名人が参加している。

この映画のアクションはや特殊効果は、グリーンバックやCGを多様して撮影された。バットマンのマントやステッペンウルフ自身など、多くの物がCGで作り上げられることが多い。登場人物の一人のロボットは全身がCGで出来ており、その緻密性は目を見張るものがある。

メイキングでは、アニメーション監督のシメオン・ダンカムとビジュアルエフェクト監督者のアンダース・ラングラスがこの映画の撮影方法について詳しく紹介している。いくつか彼らのコメントからわかることがある。

まず、この映画はスタジオ撮影と外の撮影の両方で撮影された。ストーリーボードに則り、念入りなリハーサルをして撮影に臨んだとわかる。ザック・スナイダー監督は俳優たちに細かく演技を指示している。そして俳優たちは真剣に彼の話しを聞き演じた。

次に、この映画の撮影はいい雰囲気で行われていたことがわかる。ワンダーウーマンがバットマンのマスクを被って冗談でふざけていた。登場キャラクターの1人のアクアマンはワンダーウーマンの剣を奪って本来のシーンとは違うことをしていた。良いシーンが撮れた際にはザック・スナイダー監督が笑って全てのキャストとクルーを褒めていた。

最後に、この映画は色々なDCヒーローを同時に楽しめる映画だ。CGやアクションは迫力がある。これまでのDCヒーローの物語を知っている人にとってはとても楽しめる映画だ。
