Shikisai-No-Oka Gardens

Shikisai-no-oka is a 15-hectare flower garden in Bei, Kamikawa-gun, Hokkaido. The hills of Biei are beautiful. There are a variety of vegetables, grains and flowers grown in the area. In the summer, you can enjoy the colorful flower gardens and magnificent scenery. In the winter, you can enjoy exciting activities on hills of snow. It's a place you can enjoy all year round. Now let’s take a look at each season.

In the green season, you can see various flowers from April to October. For example, you can enjoy different flowers such as tulips in May, lavender in June and marigolds in July. In this way, more than 30 kinds of flowers bloom there throughout the spring and summer months. You can also experience riding in a tractor cart. You can enjoy the scenery of the flower garden while riding in the vehicle.


In the winter season from December to March you can enjoy nature while surrounded by pure white snow. It’s called “Snow Land.” Even beginners can easily experience snowmobiles here. Prices start from 1,200 yen and vary depending on distance and time of use. If you are over 16 years old, you can rent one. Sleds are also available for children.
