Sapporo Art Park opened on July 27, 1986. It’s a hub for the arts, featuring an art museum, workshops, an outdoor stage, and music practice rooms. In addition to the Sapporo Art Park Museum, which hosts various exhibitions, the park includes an outdoor art museum that blends seamlessly with nature and allows visitors to enjoy art as the seasons change, as well as various craft workshops scattered throughout the forest where visitors can enjoy hands-on creative experiences, such as woodworking and pottery workshops.


Furthermore, the facility offers spaces for practicing musical instruments and rehearsing for theatrical productions, as well as rental facilities where overnight stays are possible, providing available space. There is also a buffet restaurant called Gochiso Kitchen Hata on the second floor of the Art Forest Center where you can enjoy the deliciousness of vegetables.  


Admission to the park is free, so anyone is welcome to drop by casually. However, please note that while the park itself is free, there is a fee for the Sapporo Art Museum and the Sapporo Art Park Open-Air Museum. 


Opening hours are from 9:45 to 5:00 p.m. (until 5:30 p.m. from June to August). Last admission to the Sapporo Art Park Museum is 30 minutes before closing time. Regarding closing days, the park is open every day from April 29 to November 3 and closed on Mondays from November 4 to April 28. 


When Monday is a public holiday or substitute holiday, the park will be closed on the following weekday. The park is also closed for the New Year holidays from December 29 to January 3. General admission is 800 yen for high school and university students; 400 yen, for seniors; 640 yen for junior high school students and admission is free for elementary school students and younger. An annual pass costs 1,000 yen. Parking for regular cars is 500 yen, and 1,200 yen for large vehicles per visit.  

   




札幌芸術の森美術館

札幌芸術の森は、1986年7月27日に開園しました。美術館や工房、野外ステージや音楽練習室などが揃う芸術の拠点です。各種展覧会を開催する「札幌芸術の森美術館」をはじめ、自然と一体となり、季節の移り変わりと共にアートが楽しめる「野外美術館」や木工房、陶工房など、制作体験が楽しめる各種クラフトの工房が森の中に点在しています。


また、楽器の練習や演劇の稽古ができる空間が用意されており、宿泊も可能な貸施設を備え、観るだけではなく自ら創作活動するための設備も充実しています。芸術の森センター2Fには、野菜のおいしさを堪能できるビュッフェレストラン「ごちそうキッチン 畑のはる」もあります。入園料は無料で誰でも気軽に立ち寄れます。展示により異なりますが、「札幌芸術の森美術館・札幌芸術の森野外美術館」の利用は有料となっています。


開園時間は 9:45〜17:00（6月〜8月は17:30まで）です。札幌芸術の森美術館への最終入館は、閉館時間の30分前までとなります。休園日については、4月29日から11月3日までは無休で開園し、11月4日から4月28日までは月曜日が休園日となります（月曜日が祝日または振替休日の場合は、翌平日が休園日となります）。また、年末年始（12月29日～1月3日）も休園します。入館料は、一般800円、高校・大学生400円、シニア640円、中学生以下は無料です。年間パスポートは1,000円です。駐車料金は、1回につき普通車500円、大型車1,200円です。
